Sponsored jobs in London: common questions

Does a sponsor licence mean the job comes with a visa?

No. A licence means the employer can sponsor a Skilled Worker visa. Each role still has to meet the occupation’s going rate and the general salary threshold, and the employer has to choose to sponsor that role. The 4,205 roles counted in London are at licensed employers; the free account checks each one against the threshold for its occupation code.

What salary does a sponsored role need in London?

For most Skilled Worker roles the general threshold is £41,700 a year or the occupation’s going rate, whichever is higher. New entrants, including recent graduates and people under 26, can qualify at a lower rate for a limited period. The salary threshold calculator on this site works it out for a given occupation code.

Where do these roles come from?

From the employers’ own careers sites. We crawl the applicant tracking systems that licensed sponsors publish their vacancies on and re-check every role daily, so a role that closes drops out of the count the next night. Nothing here is copied from a job board.

Why can I only see a few roles in London without an account?

The public page is a highlight: the live count, a sample of titles and the employers hiring most. The full list, apply links, salary bands, the threshold check and daily alerts are part of the free account, which keeps the data useful for the people it is built for rather than for scrapers.
