  2. Step 3: Online immersive assessment

    Immersive assessment

    Online immersive assessment of interactive exercises including cognitive tasks, about 45 minutes with no strict time limit. It contains no video interview questions. A practice version is provided.

  3. Step 4: Virtual interview

    Live video interview

    Live virtual interview on Microsoft Teams, typically with two interviewers from the hiring team, covering skills, strengths and motivation for the role.

  2. Online Immersive Assessment

    Immersive assessment

    Interactive online exercises including cognitive problem-solving tasks, about 45 minutes with no strict time limit. No video interview questions are included. A practice version is available.

  3. Attend a virtual interview

    Virtual interview with members of the hiring team, for industrial placements only. Interviews usually run between November and April.

  4. Receive your interview outcome

    Offer

    Candidates are told the interview outcome and, if successful, offer details and next steps are discussed.

Visa sponsorship

  • Graduate Development Programme

    Explicitly stopped sponsoring due to the April 2024 salary threshold change

    “Due to April 2024 revised Government immigration salary thresholds, AtkinsRéalis are not able to sponsor any skilled worker visas.”

  • Professional Apprenticeships: Level 6 Degree

    AtkinsRealis runs dozens of Level 4 and Level 6 apprenticeships across the UK, but apprentices typically need three years' prior UK residence.

    “For our apprentice roles you’ll typically need to be living in the UK for 3 consecutive years or more prior to starting the apprenticeship and must hold, and be able to evidence, the Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship.”

  • Industrial Placement

    AtkinsRealis only accepts placement students who already have work rights.

  • UK Summer Placements

    AtkinsRéalis's eight week UK summer placements close on 3 December 2026 and the company says it sponsors no Skilled Worker visas for early careers.

    “Due to current Government immigration salary thresholds, AtkinsRéalis do not sponsor any skilled worker visas for our early careers programme as the Home Office's eligibility criteria would not be met.”
