Apply online through the firm's AllHires portal between 17 September 2026 and 4 January 2027.

Open day with short interview
Assessment centre
Open days in February or March for up to 100 candidates: time with a mentor, a short interview and a networking lunch.
“The firm holds open days to recruit for the vacation schemes, normally in February and/or March. Up to 100 candidates will be invited to attend. On arrival, you will meet the graduate recruitment team and will spend time with a mentor who will show you around the office and answer any questions you may have. There will also be a short interview.”
Vacation scheme place
Offer
Candidates are told after the open days, around the end of March, whether they have a spring or summer scheme place. About 54 places a year.
“After the open days, candidates are notified if they will be offered a place on the spring or summer vacation schemes.”
Visa sponsorship
London Training Contract
Debevoise will help trainees obtain work permits and visas, at 55,000 pounds first year.
“Yes, but any offer will depend on the firm successfully obtaining a work permit for you.”
London Vacation Scheme
Debevoise does not sponsor vacation scheme candidates but does sponsor trainees who secure a training contract.
“The firm does not provide sponsorship for vacation scheme candidates. Debevoise will, however, provide sponsorship if you secure a training contract.”
Insight Day
Debevoise runs a one-day in-person Insight Day in London on Tuesday 19 January 2027 for first-year law and first or second-year non-law students.
