Step 1: Online application form

Online form with education, work history and a series of long-answer questions. Applications close 11.59pm on 4 January 2027 and are not reviewed on a rolling basis.

Untimed online strengths-based assessment sent automatically after applying; allow up to 110 minutes. A personal feedback report follows.

“Once you have submitted your application, you will automatically be invited to take our online strengths-based assessment which aims to consider your strengths alongside the role of a trainee solicitor. [...] Although the assessment is not timed, we recommend that you allow up to 110 minutes to complete it.”

The firm reviews the online assessment together with the application form after the deadline, not on a rolling basis.

“Following on from this, we will consider your online assessment in conjunction with your application form. You will hear whether you have been successful after this initial stage once the vacancy deadline has passed, as we do not recruit on a rolling basis.”

In-person assessment centre (February 2027 for direct applicants) with a written exercise, a strengths-based interview and a group exercise.
