Graduate roles

How Visa recruits

Roles advertised by end of September for the following year's start (2027 implied). 6 stages, from Visa's own careers pages, checked 2026-10-03. Test providers are named only where Visa names them.

  1. Application form

    Application form

Short one-page application form, then submit a CV or LinkedIn profile.

“It only takes a handful of clicks to complete our one-page application form. Then you can submit your CV or LinkedIn profile, and you're done!”
  2. Online testing

    Game-based assessment

Game-based online assessment looking at how candidates make decisions, rather than traditional maths and English tests. Provider not named.

“This isn't your usual Maths and English test! We want to get to know you, so our assessment is a series of online games that show us how you make decisions...”
  3. Phone interview

    Phone interview

Telephone interview on what makes the candidate individual and their motivation for Visa.

“If we think you could be a good fit for Visa, then you'll have a telephone interview so we can find out what makes you individual, and why we're the team for you.”

  4. Technical challenge

    Online tests

Technology role applicants complete a technical challenge to gauge their level of knowledge. Platform not named.

“If you have applied for a technology role at Visa then we'll ask you to complete a technical challenge, which will give us a better idea of your level of knowledge.”

  5. Final stage

    Assessment centre

Either an assessment centre or a final face-to-face interview at a Visa office, depending on the role.

“The final stage is an assessment centre or final face-to-face interview in one of our offices. Which you will do will depend on the role you have applied for.”
  6. Offer

    Offer

Successful candidates are told as soon as possible after the final stage.

“If you're successful in the final stage we will let you know as soon as we can, but getting your offer is just the beginning.”

Visa sponsorship

  • Graduate roles

Visa says it will try to support sponsorship for graduates who fit, but no 2027 UK graduate roles were live on its job site on 1 October 2026.

“If you meet local requirements and we feel you’re a good fit for Visa, then we will try and support your sponsorship to work in the country the role is based in subject to local immigration law.”
  • Internship Programme

Visa's 3-month UK internship is covered by the same promise to try to support sponsorship, but 2027 roles were not yet posted on 1 October 2026.

“If you meet local requirements and we feel you’re a good fit for Visa, then we will try and support your sponsorship to work in the country the role is based in subject to local immigration law.”
  • Spring Insight Day

Visa runs a one-day Spring Insight Day at its Paddington office in London for first-year undergraduates, in a non-technical track and a technology track.
