Stage 1: Written application
Application form
Academic grades plus one open question on how a law firm and Weightmans work, blind marked for content, structure and grammar.
“Stage 1 - Written application At this stage, we will look at your academic grades and your answer to an open question. This question is designed to check your understanding of how a law firm, and Weightmans, works. [...] We will review all written submissions individually, in a blind marking process.”

Stage 2: HIPO-I interactive online assessment
Online tests
Interactive online assessment called HIPO-I testing verbal and numerical reasoning plus situational judgement questions on values fit. Provider not named.

Visa sponsorship

Trainee Solicitor
Weightmans publishes exact trainee pay by location but only a vague reopening window for applications and no trainee-specific sponsorship statement.

Solicitor degree apprenticeship
Weightmans' six-year solicitor degree apprenticeship is open now, closes at noon on Thursday 22 October, and is limited to applicants aged 16 to 21.
