The Francis Crick Institute: does its summer student training programme sponsor a UK visa?

Unconfirmed. The Francis Crick Institute publishes no sponsorship policy for its summer student training programme, so we cannot state a firm answer. The Summer Student Training Programme runs nine weeks and pairs undergraduates with a postdoctoral supervisor in one of the Crick's research groups. It is aimed at students performing well on relevant degrees such as biological or biomedical sciences, chemistry, computer science, engineering, mathematics, medicine and physics at a UK university, and covers both scientific and transferable skills. Entry is gated on widening participation. An applicant must meet at least one of three criteria: be of Black ethnicity, including mixed Black backgrounds; be in receipt of enhanced maintenance support from a UK student finance agency, with published household income thresholds of £25,000 for England and Wales, £23,999 for Scotland and a named grant level for Northern Ireland; or study at a university on the Crick's priority institutions list, which covers institutions outside the Russell Group or with a 2021 REF GPA below 3.27. Offers made on the finance criterion are conditional on evidence of that support. Students who meet none of the criteria are pointed to the Crick's separate masters and undergraduate hosting route.
